Luxury Gift Box
A private gift of Majdol dates · Amman, Jordan

Mr. Hani Barhoumeh, CEO of DotJo, a digital agency with a presence across the Middle East and America, commissioned a luxury gift box for premium Majdol dates, to be given as a personal gift.
The aim was an exclusive, sophisticated gift for entrepreneurs, businessmen, CEOs and esteemed dignitaries. The story below follows the four steps I use on every brand.
Starting from the dates and the person giving them.
To capture the essence of the Majdol dates, and the taste of the person giving them, I began with a mood board. It gathered luxurious textures and rich colors such as deep burgundy, emerald green and gold, and inspiring elements like Arabic calligraphy, intricate patterns and minimalist aesthetics.
I presented the mood board to Mr. Barhoumeh, and together we discussed the key elements that would define the visual identity of the packaging.

A signature, a palette and the right dimensions.
From that conversation we defined what the box needed to carry: a custom signature, designed in collaboration with a signature artist, in both Arabic and English versions.
We explored two distinct art directions, using a palette of dark green and red with gold accents, and set the dimensions of the box so that it would present the dates perfectly. We also decided to place a personalized message inside the box, to add a touch of exclusivity to the gifting experience.

Two directions for the same gift.
Option 1 focused on showing the natural beauty of the dates and their Arabian heritage: a palette of deep burgundy and gold, intricate Arabic calligraphy and delicate gold foil accents. Inside, a soft textured lining and a personalized Arabic message.
Option 2 emphasized a minimalist, sophisticated aesthetic: a sleek box with a subtle gold embossed signature and a clean, modern typeface. Inside, the dates sit on a bed of silk, and a personalized message in English is discreetly printed on the inside of the lid.

The final selection.
After careful consideration, Mr. Barhoumeh selected Option 2 for its elegant simplicity and modern appeal. Here is how it was prepared for production and how it looks finished.
